Swelling, bruising, and soreness will continue for a few weeks in both the buttocks and the area where the fat was harvested. Swelling in the buttocks will subside over a 6-week period and you won’t be able to sit right away. We will let you know when it is safe to sit and how you can protect the area while sitting. You should be able to resume exercise and strenuous activity after 6 weeks.
