Cause: A crooked nose can be genetic or a result of a broken nose that did not heal correctly. Surgical Solution: First, Dr. Reid has to determine the reason why your nose is crooked. The most common causes are problems with the nasal bones and/or the septum along the midline of the nose. Sometimes, a broken bone has healed in a crooked position, and must be reset to a straighter position. Care must be taken so that the underlying structure of the nose is made straighter without losing breathing function.
