Micro-needling is extremely safe and adaptable for each and every person. The needles penetrate the top level of the skin, the epidermis, and into the mid-dermis, where collagen is stimulated.  The depth is precisely controlled, so deeper structures are not at risk. Because of this, it can be used on areas that are usually difficult to treat such as the skin around the eyes. We do not recommend at home micro-needling as these needles are too short to stimulate any real change in the skin and the needles on at home rollers cannot be sterilized, thereby increasing the risk of infection and scarring.
