Brazilian Butt Lift
The secret is out.
Fine-tuning your fanny is one of the hottest new trends in plastic surgery, whether you’re boosting your buttocks or heightening your hiney. In the past, procedures for your posterior had a reputation as plastic surgery for those who want to look like Kim Kardashian or Beyoncé. Not true anymore. The majority of women who seek a Brazilian Butt Lift just want a little reshaping of their bottoms by adding volume and lifting the tissues.
Whatever your reasons for wanting a butt lift, Dr. Gordon and Dr. Reid have extensive experience creating rounder, lifted, more attractive buttocks through the combination of SAFELipo® and micro fat grafting.
The results of the Restora Austin Brazilian Butt Lift are exceptional because surgeons Dr. Ashley Gordon & Dr. Dustin Reid approach patients in a 3D fashion. Not only will they reshape your bottom, but they may also contour your flanks, hips, and outer thighs. When the entire area is addressed in this 3-dimensional way, and by not just addressing the buttocks themselves, your entire backside will be re-shaped. While they can often create buttocks to your size specifications, the goal is usually a backside that is proportionate and youthful in appearance – buttocks that are firm, perky, and shapely.
Fat grafting of the buttocks involves 2 steps:
- harvesting the fat from areas where you have extra, like the outer thighs, hips and flanks
- processing it and re-injecting it into the buttocks
Our surgeons will gently harvest your fat using their SAFELipo® techniques and PAL (power-assisted liposuction) system. Dr. Gordon and Dr. Reid were the first plastic surgeons to offer SAFELipo® in Austin, and they are the only certified SAFELipo® providers in Central Texas. They trained with the creator and inventor of SAFELipo®, Dr. Simeon Wall, Jr.. SAFELipo® is so much more than liposuction. It’s a comprehensive, multi-step body contouring process.
Combining SAFELipo® with fat transfer is a wish come true for many patients– move the fat from one area where you want less volume to a place where you want more volume. That’s what a Brazilian Butt Lift with SAFELipo® offers you.
Why choose the surgeons at Restora Austin for your Brazilian Butt Lift? We don’t believe in a “one operation fits all” approach to aesthetic surgery. Our surgeons view their work as an art form, and you are the canvas. They will listen to your goals and formulate a treatment plan that will give you the result you will love.
Below are some of the more specific concerns people have when the come to Restora Austin for a Brazilian Butt Lift consultation.
Your Buttock Concern:
I Have Suffered An Injury That Changed The Way My Buttocks Look
An injury or accident may have caused some fat or tissue loss above the muscle, resulting in a concavity in the injured area.
Fat grafting to the injured areas will diminish the visibility of contour irregularities and can make the buttocks more symmetrical.
I Wish My Bottom Was Rounder and Higher
This can be a result of genetics, aging, or the after-effects of pregnancy.
A Brazilian Butt Lift can raise the buttocks higher and make them perkier and more voluptuous.
My Bottom Is Out Of Proportion With The Rest Of My Body
This is usually a result of genetics.
A Brazilian Butt Lift, along with body contouring will result in better balance and proportions.
My Bottom is Flat
This is usually a result of the aging process, although pregnancy and weight loss can alter the look of your bottom.
A Brazilian Butt Lift will give a round shape to the buttocks.
My Bottom Sags
This is usually a result of aging, weight fluctuations and/or massive weight loss.
A Brazilian Butt Lift using fat grafting to lift and re-shape the butt, so they are higher, firmer and rounder.
Key Differences Between Restora Austin Brazilian Butt Lifts Vs. Traditional Butt Lifts
While some practices use implants, we contour the buttocks using your own tissue through fat grafting because this method has such a high success rate and because it looks and feels the most natural. The complication rate using solid silicone implants for buttock augmentation is high. Fat grafting, on the other hand, has few complications, since we will be using your own tissue. Perhaps most importantly, recovery is less painful and results are long lasting. Our focus will be on the entire region of your buttocks, hips, flanks and upper thighs to make sure that there is a proportionate, symmetrical, and aesthetically pleasing result based on how you wish to look.
What is SAFELipo®?
SAFELipo® is the first and only comprehensive, multi-step body contouring technique to eliminate excess fat evenly by combining the benefits of liposuction, fat shifting, and fat grafting in a patented 3-step S-A-F-E process. SAFE is an acronym that stands for fat Separation, fat Aspiration, and Fat Equalization.
SAFELipo® is performed using Microaire’s PAL LipoSculptor, a very sophisticated, patented device that uses specialized vibrating probes or cannulas to remove the fat and contour the area. PAL stands for Power Assisted Liposuction. The vibrations facilitate the movement of the cannula, making it much gentler than the movement with traditional liposuction. The vibrations dissolve and Separate the fat cells smoothly, with less trauma to your tissues.
The removal of the fat during the Aspiration step is also gentler than in traditional liposuction, resulting in minimal bleeding and less bruising, swelling and pain. In the Fat Equalization step, the remaining fat is sculpted into a smooth, even layer beneath the skin without visible indentations, ripples, or other contour irregularities.
Using SAFELipo® techniques, we ensure your Brazilian Butt Lift experience is safer, your recovery easier and your results better than with older techniques.
Brazilian Butt Lift Q&A
What other surgeries do patients sometimes get to complement a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Many patients have SAFELipo® to other areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.
What are the risks of a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Like all surgical procedures, a Brazilian Butt Lift involves certain risks, including the possibility of bleeding, infection, fluid collection, and contour irregularities.
What happens if I lose weight after I have had a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Your Brazilian Brazilian Butt Lift won’t be affected by small weight fluctuations. If you were to lose a significant amount of weight, your butt may become smaller, as the fat cells in the area can shrink. With weight gain, the cells will expand. We recommend maintaining a healthy lifestyle of eating well and exercise to maintain your result for years to come.
Will I be able to see the results of my surgery immediately?
While you will be able to see your results to a large degree right after your surgery, it can take several months for all of the swelling to subside.
Is there a visible scar after a Brazilian Butt Lift?
The incisions are tiny and are not usually visible.
What is the recovery period like after a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Swelling, bruising, and soreness will continue for a few weeks in both the buttocks and the area where the fat was harvested. Swelling in the buttocks will subside over a 6-week period and you won’t be able to sit right away. We will let you know when it is safe to sit and how you can protect the area while sitting. You should be able to resume exercise and strenuous activity after 6 weeks.
What will I look like after my Brazilian Butt Lift?
Immediately following the procedure, you will feel somewhat sore and swollen in both the buttocks and the area where the fat was harvested. We will fit you with a compression garment for the liposuctioned areas, but we want you to avoid compression and pressure on your buttocks. Pain medication, muscle relaxants and a strong anti-inflammatory will be prescribed to relieve discomfort.
How much time do I have to take off from work after a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Most patients take two weeks off from work because you will not be allowed to sit directly on your buttocks during this time. We need to allow the fat grafts “to take” and pressure can intere with graft success.
Where will my Brazilian Butt Lift be performed?
Your Brazilian Butt Lift will be performed at INSPIRE, our fully accredited, AAAASF, surgery center. A board-certified anesthesiologist will administer general anesthesia. In most cases, it is outpatient surgery, and you will be able to go home the same day.
Am I a good Brazilian Butt Lift candidate?
The only way to tell if you’re a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift is through a consultation in our offices. Dr. Gordon or Dr. Reid will listen to your concerns about the appearance of your buttocks and conduct an examination. We can then advise you what can be done to help your bottom, hips, and thighs look better.
