Questions About Breast Lift Surgery
Are there any risks with breast lift surgery?
Breast lift surgery is very safe, however, it is also a surgical procedure, and there are risks associated with it. Risks and possible complications can include bleeding, infection, reaction to the anesthesia, or even blood clot.
To reduce the chance of complications before, during, or after your breast lift surgery, it is important to follow all directions about breast lift surgery as closely as possible. Drs. Reid and Gordon will discuss all risks, possible complications, and directions with during your initial consultation.
Am I a good breast lift surgery candidate?
A good breast lift surgery candidate is a person who is self-conscious about their breasts because they sag, droop, lack firmness, or have areolas or nipples that point downward. If you are not confident or happy about the appearance of your breasts, then breast lift surgery may be able to provide you with improved breasts.
Drs. Reid and Gordon will review your medical history and determine if breast lift surgery can correct the appearance of your breasts during your initial consultation.
How long will I need to take off work?
The recovery process for breast lift surgery is similar to breast augmentation surgery. Your breasts will be sore for a few days immediately following the procedure, but you will be able to return to work and light activity after resting for a few days. Harder or more strenuous activities can be resumed usually within a month.
